Project Details
The Sedona development effort consists of two primary projects. Ron Badraun and Dan Carter were engaged to provide development activities including design, entitlements, and eventually construction activities. These projects are in Sedona, AZ, one of the most challenging zoning areas in the country. Their duties include working with the developers to establish the development program, interface with agencies having jurisdiction for entitlements, coordination with design professionals to develop designs and plans, and preparing budgets and schedules. Our portion of the development documentation was provided to the primary developers for their use in the funding effort.
Sedona West Resort - $300M
This first major phase of the project is to be built on the former site of the Sedona Cultural park which included a defunct 5,500 seat outdoor amphitheater. Ron Badraun began by working with the City to determine the interests and sensitivities. The resort includes a Luxury Hotel with 210 rooms, a conference center, and a new 3,000 seat amphitheater with a retractable roof to view the beautiful red rocks of Sedona.
This resort also includes an Artisan village to allow demonstrations and activities. This shopping area would cover 8.8 acres with 70,000 sq. ft. of shops above a subterranean parking area. Additionally, it would have a Wellness center covering 8 acres with 68,000 sq. ft. of buildings. The last component would be a 9,000 Native American Artifact Museum.
